Remote support is very very difficult; the first thing to try would be the latest drivers from the chipset manufacturers website. Whilst youre there look for 'known issues'.

Take a quick look at the device manager to see if there are any issues.

theres 2x question marks in device manager.

2) Unknown device

Unless its a Compaq graphics chipset on the video adapter then they arent the right drivers!

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your new video adapter's chipset; this is likely to be either ATI or nVidia. Down their latest drivers for the appropriate card/chipset and then see what happens after youve installed them...

The graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce FX5200 128MB not sure about anything else although there is a AMD64 sticker on the PC.

The unit is a Compaq Presario SR1139UK Desktop PC if that helps.

Deinstall your gfx drivers 1st then reinstall them. You might need to set your gfx card to standard vga drivers to clean it up properly.

Are you sure you have the right chipset drivers installed? That PCI bridge host issue is chipset or AGP related. Maybe your mobo needs an AGP patch of some sorts.

Also try the VIA 4in1 drivers if ure mobo has a VIA chipset.

Little update, i have installed the sims 2 (missus game, dont ask!) and its working fine appears the problem now lies with battlefield 1942 not liking something although it worked fine before the format of the drive.
