Can you print laminates on a bubble-jet?

Default Can you print laminates on a bubble-jet?

Need to print of a few slides, do you have to use a laser printer or is a bubble-jet ok?

As in transparancies right? (clear film?)

If so yes...but it has to be inkjet transparancies - with a coated rough side.

I did try laser tranparancies in an inkjet once, the results were somewhat messy

It's years since I needed to print anything on transparencies and as far as I remember thermal wax transfer printers used to be better than lasers due to better colour saturation.

Anyway, I suspected that there might be a problem with inks on transparencies, so I had a quick look at the Epson consumables website.

Looks like it is possible on most Epsons but isn't cheap at over £1 per sheet (when they have it in stock).

Try your printer manufacturer's website and see what media are available for your model. That's the safest answer at that price.

Used to do it all the time before Powerpoint presentations.

You can only print on one side so have to make sure you use the correct side (usually the rough side).
