Question

When my printer was off-line last week (read farqued!!) I saved a couple of web pages by doing PRINT then checking PRINT TO FILE, so I have ended up with a couple of ******.prn files.

Questions is, how can I now open or print these files, tried several things like drag & drop into the print queue but no luck, even tried to open them in IE5.5 and Word 2000 but nadda.

Sasim,

Assuming your printer is plugged into LPT1...

At a command/dos prompt enter;

print /d:lpt1 c:filename.prn

It should work....

Goddamn this winds me up!! WHY do they put this option in windows then make it a bitch to actually do anything with once you've got your PRN files?

You'd have thought by now the dumbasses at Microsoft would have thought - hey! lets do a drag and drop or a right click print - but NO, lets **** off our users a little shall we....fuqk em, they just made us rich, what do we owe them - peasants!!

Lets make it really obvious about how to print these, why EVERY normal user knows arcane DOS commands don't they??

They don't even put jacksh1t in the help index either!

As you may tell I had this a few years ago and it took me ages to find out how to do it, plus the dos command doesn't (well did'nt) accept long filenames so your fooked if your doc name is long, or folder name is long....GRRRRRR

BASTIDS!!!!!!!!!

(feel better now! )
