Default DVD burning / copying software?

Are there any reccommends as per title.....preferably free.

Nero.

Do you mean copying a DVD movie in your second part? If so, DVDShrink.

Sub97,

Yeah, just any general software. I'm looking to back up my already substantial DVD collection and to archive general jpegs, mpegs, documents, etc onto DVD.

Try CDBurner XP Pro for data burning. It's not bad for £0

If you install Nero, then DVDShrink will use it automatically for you. Nero is what I'd recommend for any sort of burning though. You can download a trial version to see if you like it.
