That's low IMHO. I was getting near that in a P4 3Ghz with 9800 pro. I would expect you to be in the 24-25K range.

thats what i thought. with the overclock i cannot get the machine to boot when memory is @ 166 or 200 Mhz. tried upping DDR voltage by 0.2v(max for my board). PC3700 should be good for 266mhz IIRC. i don't have agressive memory timings and when BIOS defaults are loaded i.e stock 3500+ and memory @200mhz, memtest runs fine. Anybody have any ideas? current clock is 264x10 BTW

cheers

Yeah that's very low.

I have an XP3200+ @2.5Ghz, 1gig Ballistix PC4000 & an X800XT and I get 26k.

Yes, but an X800XT is way faster than a 6600GT. 2001 isn't as GPU-limited as 2003, but the gfx card can still choke off the performance.

Obvious thing: make sure all the gfx settings are set to "fastest" or equivilant.

Tried 3DMark03 or 05.

I'm running AMD64 3500+ , 6800GT and Geil 1gb and get just over 5000 on 05 and 11500ish on 03.

I've not overclocked anything either.

Andy.

On heavily overclocked 6800 Ultras on heavily overclocked rigs. It's the overclocking that counts.

By 6600 in SLI i asume your running 2, if so there is still compatability issues with running SLI rigs, also 2001SE was designed to run on DX8 not DX9 that you currently have, and as you are running a 3500+ 64bit you might find that if you were running a 64 bit OS then your scores might Increase. Although they run both, they are better at 64 bit prosseses.

It sounds obvious but have you disabled all non essential services, virus checkers and any other stuff in the system tray? This makes a hell of a difference to benchmark scores.
