Default Using a PS2 online

The general jist of my question is.....

I have a USB modem (tiscali) and want to get online with my PS2. To connect my PS2 to my ADSL filter via the network adaptor, I've been told that I need a router, one that has USB and Ethernet ports. Is it just as simple as pluging into the router and away I go, or is there more to this?

Any help would be great

I'm using a Netgear DG834G you connect via the RJ45 ethernet cable (like you got with Network adaptor for PS2) into the router from the PS2. I had a USB modem and had to get a router. It is fairly easy to do. Have a look at www.playstation.com too

Andy.

You need the network adaptors for old fat PS2's. £19.95 from John Lewis you can get them from most places on the Play.com etc. You still need router as well.

Slimline PS2 has network adaptor built in already.

Andy.

PS. I have both old fat and new slimline PSX in the house, kids use slimline one at same time as me and 2 PC's through the router.
