IIS with XP home ??
I need to use ASP code for a college project, but i need IIS.
I have installed IIS on windows 2000 before using the add/remove components function then inserting the Windows disk.
But i am currently using XP home and dont have a windows disk as such just the Back up things. But seing as IIS wasnt installed in the 1st place it wont be on here will it ??
Is it possible to to download and install IIS, or insert a XP pro disk and install it from there onto XP home ??

Are you sure you don't have IIS installed as it's much more closely integrated in the XP family.
If you click "start"
Click "run"
Type "inetmgr"
Hit return
Do you get an error message or does IIS launch?

XP corporate or rightly xp pro corporate (its fully name) is only shipped as pro edition so yes it will have iis
However, if you are "getting your hands on" this, then I'd worry about being able to apply patches as MS is clamping down on "legit" software if you know what I mean.
If you are feeling brave, try Cassini, its a standalone ASP.NET web server.

Apache::ASP isn't compatible with "normal" ASP. You need a third party shared library, Chili!Soft's ASP, and last time I installed it for someone it wasn't free (they bought it).
