64-bit Windows
#2
Would like to try it but haven't really had time to sort the Beta out.
As long as it supports Athlon64.
Micro$oft are going to have to get a move on soon with a 64-bit version soon as AMD are doing great things with the Athlon.
The other problem is there aren't a lot of 64-bit apps...are there?

First used a 64-bit CPU in 1987 and OS's in 1998 so XT 64-bit is only 7 years behind.

The 64-bit windows will be faster than the 32-bit version, some games have already been ported... UT2k4 for example is 15-20% faster in 64 bit.
The Athlons DESIGNED with 64-bit in mind, its '64-bit performance' wont improve over what it is now realy.. other than more mhz.
Im sure XP 64-bit will run just fine on my FX-55 TVM
