Default I need the internet for my office

building a pc with my old parts for my office

i will be needing "the net" when its finnished
i belive the phone line is currently BT (not had a bill adressed to me yet)

i asked a few mates about dialup and stuff and they rekon for an extra £2 or so you cna get cheap broadband?

it will be mainly for browseing so im not going to be downloading full films and stuff, i figured that i might as well get one of the cheaper broadband options

only i dont have a clue what they are, it seams like a few companys want an admin fee to connect you?
our home network is on a 1meg bt broadband line, but i dont pay for any of that, my father does so im a bit in the dark

Hello

Have a wander through www.adslguide.org.uk.

Personally I would recommend spending a little more and getting reliability from someone like http://www.zenadsl.co.uk.

Hello

Quite a few people on here (and myself) have Zen. If you read through adslguide they are one of the top for speed and reliability.

If you want someone you have heard of, there is BT (spit) or FreeServe (Wannado).

since you wont be using the broadband in the office to do heavy download, 512k is enuf. have a look at www.v21.co.uk, www.cpbb.co.uk and www.euro1net.com. expect to pay around £16-£20/month.
