Just Ordered My PSP form lik-sang - Questions
How Much Tax am I going to be stung for I've heard in the region of £60 which sounds a bit steep as it would be around 25% of the purchase price.

I have a friend that will send them via Japan Post/Parcel Force direct from Japan - PM me if you like. He's sent a few over now including mine and no tax has been charged. If they're sent DHL or similar you normally get stung.
You'll love it when you get it by the way, simply stunning. I'm putting in an order for some more games soon, group buy?

Need for Speed Underground is out soon. As soon as it's released I'll get some copies sent over. In the meantime, if you want anything give me a shout. I was going to order a spare battery, but I haven't managed to make this one run out on me yet, and I'm playing it a lot!! Right now in fact

This was asked but not answered on another thread. If you import a japanese PSP, are you knackered when it comes to UK games ? Or does anyone know if it will play both ?

A standard PS2 outta the box won't play these 'import' games though will it?
Surely, the same must be said for the PSP?

Playstations 1 and 2 were never meant to travel. You may be in Tokyo, New York or S****horpe and decide you'd like a new game with the PSP or Gameboy or their ilke.

As far as I know goods imported into the EU are liable to both import duty and VAT on value of the goods (value being purchase cost + delivery charges).
VAT is at 17.5%, Duty 5-9% (depends on the tariff code)
You pay also be charged for Customs clearance (£8 iirc) by Royal Mail
So if you have bought:
PSP 230
Game 32
So you could be charged upto £77
On the other hand it could be missed and you'll be charged nothing!
