Project Gotham Racing 2
Been playing this 24/7 since getting the XBox (Halo 2 hasn't had a look in!)
2 Questions though -
a) What do I have to do to get at the Nurburgring?
b) Can I get the extra online content if I have no broadband?
cheers.

1) Play the game right to the end to unlock the ring...
2) These were available a few months ago on all the usual sites! However I remember it was a ball ache to get them running ( never tried it as I downloaded them via Xbox Live )

Hmmm. Oh well, was going through it just getting steel awards (I thought you had to get that before trying for a bronze - doh!) so I'd gone back to redo races to improve my Kudos ranking.
This could take me a while...

to open Nurbergring you need to complete the track specials to have the track avaliable for other modes of play (at least i think thats how).

No Rush really - quite enjoying the game, it was only to tide me over until GT4 comes out... but still got Halo 2, Colin McRae 2005, Evil Dead & Ratchet & Clank 3 to get done before then

The track specials are the:
Lotus Exige
Vauxhall VX220 Turbo
Honda NSX Type-R (J)
Dodge Viper SRT-10
Ferrari Challenge Stradale
Noble M12 GTO3
Porsche 911 GT3 (996)
Some of the tracks in this class are parts of the Nurburgring, Im pretty sure completing the 17 races in Track specials will open up the full Nurburgring.

Where are the track specials? I can't remember seeing them anywhere, are they in arcade or the World Series? Sure I'll find them eventually...

Ah cheers mate - I'm still on the American Muscle Series at the moment.
You don't have to do something like get all Platinum awards do you?

No ( I certainly didn't ) you just need to work your way up through all the stages getting awards for everything.....

All Silvers = 911 GT1 (Le Mans car).
All Gold = CLK GTR.
All Platinum = TVR Speed 12.
Can't quite remember steel and bronze, but I don't think they're anything special.
I've not played the game properly for a few months now, but I was quite the racer back in the day. At one point I held the world record on 3 of the Edinburgh courses, and had top 3 times in the rest of the Edinburgh ones. A few other top 10s on the other tracks too. I also won the Glasgow heat of last years Xbox 10K challenge. I lost in the final, mainly because they were playing games that weren't PGR2.
If anyone sees me lurking on xbox live then feel free to give me a run for my money.

Steven, What's your gamertag mate?? Mine is Twigster 54 and I am usually always on PGR or TOCA. I'd give you a run no worries, although the once strong scooby crey on PGR has diversified somewhat lately!!

Ahh, PGR2, lovely.
I've been known to be online most nights (GT is: The Sharkus), though bear in mind that my 'night' is -5 hours GMT, so it's more like early morning for the UK.
So, who fancies the full 'ring in scoobs then?

just went and had a go with both scoobies. the 22b seems slower than the sti. got a time of 7:55:35.
its best to do time attack as you get a flying start but can go down the main straight faster on the second lap.
