Default Cutting up MP3s

Anyone know of a bit of (preferably free) software for chopping up MP3s ? I have a couple of large MP3 files (full albums) that I need to chop down into tracks so I can burn them to CD. I tried them with Sound Forge but they wouldn't load

You could also look at cdrwin that lets you put track markers in an MP3 without actually splitting it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just tried MP3 cutter but I'll have to faff about sussing the start and end times for each track. Is there one that can detect and split based on the silence between the tracks ?
