Unhappy XP SP2

Anyone know of any web sources for this i.e. the whole file? I have an XP machine that windows update refuses to work on.... The PC has various issues other issues which I think SP2 should sort.

Becareful, one of the guys at work downloaded it to test on one of our PC's.

That PC no longer can get updates for Nortons Anti-Virus!!!

if u download this service pack as it installs it checks ur xp version is cosha-anyone-not for me of course-know a version of this service pack u can download that will work on non cosha versions of xp please

Having 'updated' to SP2 I can't get updates on AGV either...

i had the same problem! no internet after sp2. so turned off sp2 firewall, IE ok. then turned on sp2 firewall and all is ok. strange!

pc was running SAV 9.

You can get a version of Windows XP that SP2 will work on from here (Home Edition) or here (Pro)

Found out last night that after I re installed XP Pro after a HDD format (I do this 1 - 2 times a year) XP had done an auto update and given me SP2. So far so good and no problems, even NAV works and auto updates.

Which of course would be an illegal copy which could not be condoned by Scoobynet. I think you should take the hint.

the download being free does not mean it is illegal-as u can download it FREE of microsoft if you want there version of it-re-read what i put and you will see im not asking for an illegal version of SP2

Well your right of course....you didn't ask for a pirated copy of XP, just a version of SP2 that works with a pirated copy of XP...which of course is still err illegal.

cosha I assume means Kosher, the preperation of food in accordance with Jewish law, u I assume to be you and ur is your at a guess....just in case we where speaking a different language.

Only if u do it via windows update, download the sp2 exe from microsoft and install it that way.
