NTL Speed upgrade..
Is it me or has NTL finally followed blueyonder and upgraded the services ?
Just been onto www.adslguide.co.uk and run the speed test and have got the following results:-
First Try
Downstream 1389 Kbps (173.6 KB/sec) 1500 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 238 Kbps (29.8 KB/sec) 257 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Second Try
Downstream 1433 Kbps (179.1 KB/sec) 1547 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 241 Kbps (30.1 KB/sec) 260 Kbps (inc. overheads)
If so.....

I guess mine has, but I didn't notice. Terrible upload speed.
Your download speed : 701314 bps, or 684 kbps.
A 85.6 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 129954 bps, or 126 kbps.

you are not blind mate. NTL do not have them on thier site. but try The Cable Forum Site and here as well

I know the digital TV prices went up, you don't have this as well as the BB and confusing them are you?
I know there is another price increase rumoured for october (Digitalspy is good)
I've been checking my Download speeds daily since I found out last week there were doing this (see... ntlworld.com is usefulf or somethings )

i have the now 750k line and last night got a stable 88.2kps download on a 50mb file
Now all they need is to increase the upload and we're all in business

And yes, they are giving you 1.5meg for that price, official date is September but certain areas will already be receiving it now, if you are using the older pace stb for the internet then NTL will have to upgrade you to the new Samsung Digital Box

My half meg link's always cost £24.99 since I got it over 2 years ago
The price hike rumoured to be october/november is probably to cover the cost of them stopping the old Cable TV service.
