alternative patch/update to windowsupdate.com?

Default alternative patch/update to windowsupdate.com?
is there another way to deploy security patches or update to PCs on a LAN? i am looking for something similar to windowsupdate.com. reason why i cant use windowsupdate.com is because patches need to be tested before deploying.

you can deploy them via a login script or some off the shelf software like SMS or ePO.

Look at Microsoft's own (and free) Software Update Services. Single point of download with the ability to approve updates before pushing them out clients.

and a good idea as 100+ users all hitting windowsupdate for 200meg of xp sp2 could make a mess of your bandwidth
