Xbox Live - why do some people bother?
Signed up to this last week and have been playing a fair bit of Toca 2 online.
Had some great races so far, but noticed that there are 3 types of users:
1. Serious racer (like me) follow lines, try to aviod wiping people out.
2. People only intent on getting the best lap times, even if it involves missing out chicanes such as those at Oulton.
3. ***** who drive round the wrong way, knock people off etc.
Category 1 people are very few, only found one other UK chap and a couple of Aussies so far.
Today there were a load of Geordies playing in the Seat cup thing at Oulton. Racing started well, but at the first chicane round the back as I slowed to take the proper line they all just went flying straight over the grass, why bother????
Any serious racers out there?

This also does my nut in. On PGR2 there are people deliberately side-swiping you just to get a head. You can get a good few races going with a good group and then some numpty comes along and starts messing around and ruins it for everyone.
I will look out for you though, what's your username?

I've hit people in races, but it's normally followed by a sincere apology. I try to avoid hitting other cars, unless we're having a particular free for all race. Not been online for a while though as I'm too busy with other games

It just takes time mate.
Find people who are serious racers, set up a romm with them in and make it clear to people who come in what the score is.
I only race in the DTM and the Aussie touring cars on toca really, I find the handling is rubbish on most of the others!! But I am a serious racer and will happily give you a run for your money!! (gamertag Twigster 54). Keep an eye out for Squrrel as well, he and I have had some damn good races on Toca!!

My tag is Kreature, I had a room setup the other night which was good fun, didnt realise you could host a game without a server setup, so not sure if its hosted on the Xbox or on the live server.
I will set a private room up with the V8 supercars this week sometime called Scoobynet, so keep an eye out for it. Password will be legacy.
Codemasters should have made it more strict for the grass cutters etc, and put more options in for pit stops etc.
Enjoying it though, will give PGR2 a go online as well asap.

I play this very game on-line but for the PC and i know what you mean people you can actually RACE with are thin on the ground and these people MUST have paid at least £30 for the game and come along and do these kinda things is that what SINGLE player mode is for so they can go PLAY with themselves lol.
