Can you post full details, my mates asked me to go and sort out his Misses Dell Laptop, she stupidly put on AOL, now having loads of problems getting it off. Never used it, but heard it's a pain to remove, and get out all the ****e it puts on.

It's a fairly new laptop, so if it gives me too much problems I'll nuke the hard-drive, and put a fresh copy of XP on!

That's my answer to most computing problems LOL!

From AOL.CO.UK FAQ's:

I wish to cancel my AOL membership - how do I do this?

If you wish to cancel your membership, simply call us on freephone
0800 376 4407 (+353 51 333100 from outside the UK) and one of our Member Services agents will be happy to assist you. Our lines are open seven days a week, 8am - 9pm GMT.

For verification purposes, please have the payment information you provided when you registered with AOL (e.g. credit card or bank account number) close at hand. When your account is cancelled, you will receive a four-digit confirmation number which you should keep for future reference.

Alternatively, you can email us from your Master Screen Name to Canceluk@aol.com or write to us at AOL Cancellations Dept, PO Box 676, Bristol, BS99 1YN (please remember to include your validation details and your day and evening telephone number so that we can respond to you).

mynickers - suggest you go the nuke route !!
