Doom3 - running slow for you? try this tweak!
Doom3 running a bit slow for you?
Try this tweak, it really does improve things!
In your DOOM 3 directory, find "DoomConfig.cfg" (x:\Program Files\Doom 3\base). Open DoomConfig.cfg in Notepad.
Find the line:
seta image_cacheMegs "32"
I changed 32 to 256. I have 1gig ram, but my friends only had 512mb, and used 96, and it works very well for them as well! It will give you a very nice boost in performance, go try it! You won't be dissapointed.
