Default New SonicWALLs

I know a lot of you have an interest in the SonicWALL product range and I thought I would fill you in on the latest greatest. More info is available at http://www.sonicwall.com

Pro-5060: 6 port Gigabit firewall which comes in 2 flavours, Pro-5060c which is all copper and the Pro-5060f which has 2 Fibre and 4 copper ports. Comes with Enhanced SonicOS2 and 1 years Intrusion Prevention System.

Pro-4060 6 100Mb port firewall which comes with Enhanced SonicOS2

Pro-3060 6 100Mb Port Firewall which comes with SonicOS2 standard as standard (!) which only enable the first 3 ports. Requires Enhanced SonicOS to enable the extra 3 ports

Pro-2040 4 100Mb Port fireall which comes with SonicOS2 standard as standard....! Only 3 ports enabled with standard and requires an upgrade to SonicOS2 Enhanced to enable the extra port.

TZ170: 1 Wan Port, 1 Optional Port (DMZ) and 6 10/100Mb switch ports (LAN). Comes in 2 flavours 10, 25 or unlimited. Unlimited currently comes with a free upgrade to SonicOS2 Enhanced.

TZ170W is the wireless version of the TZ170 and includes a 802.11a/b/g wireless access point which is secure.

TZ170SP is the PSTN backup version of the TZ170 and includes a PSTN modem which it will fall back to if the main WAN link fails

TZ170 SP-W.....I let you guess that one !

SonicPoints are wireless access points (802.11a/b/g) which are provisioned and secured from a SonicWALL device (Pro-5060/4060/3060/2040 or TZ170)
Just plug in and go....

IPS is SonicWALLs Intrusion Prevention System and is the reason to upgrade from your Soho3/Pro330 to the new devices.

Global VPN client for PocketPC has also arrived.

I hope that is useful but check out the SonicWALL website for more info.

Cheers

Jeff
