MS Access, Again
Getting there, albeit slowly.
I have a two tables (Table C1 and Table C2).
(structure of both tables is [name] [id nbr] [value]
value in C1 is Fiscal Year 04 and value in C2 is Fiscal Year 05
I also have one query (Query Z), that attempts to join them.
The Problem;
it only joins items with values in both FY04 & FY05.
Any item with zero is either FY is ignored.
But I want to show zero in the respective column.
The db is tiny at 485 bytes, as it is a test db.
I can send on e-mail.

Its because the standard JOIN you are performing is an INNER join which will only show matching results from both tables. Look up in the help about a LEFT OUTER JOIN which will show results for both matches and non-matches.
