BT's ADSL rollout schedule?
I noticed towards the end of last month that BT has scrapped the pitiful trigger/registration system for upgrading exchanges to ADSL in favour of a scheduled rollout of broadband to all existing exchanges across the country.
This is very good for me, 'cos having had ADSL in the last house, having to go back to a 56k connection at home is a royal PITA - even with the decent connection I've got at work. With the old system, the Innerleithen exchange had 170 registrations of a required 450 trigger-level, meaning we were on course for the exchange to be enabled in late 2006...
So, the question is, does BT list the rollout schedule anywhere, so that I can find out an approximate date for our exchange to be converted? Call me impatient, but I'd like to have an idea of whether we'll be getting broadband at home sometime later this year, or whether it'll be early 2005.....

AFAIK...
If your exchange had already trigged you get an RFS ASAP.
If your exchange was within 10% of the trigger at 7am 26th April, you will get an RFS ASAP
For other exchanges (ie Innerleithen), an RFS should be annouced by the end of June 2004.
Chris.

Thanks Chris, that's all I wanted to know.
Brendan - now I have a decently quick connection at work, I want to be able to have always-on at home so that I can remote into my home PC and do stuff that I wouldn't normally want to do on a work PC.
