I will onyl be using a computer for downloading music, scouring the internet and the odd letter or so - so i dont reall y need a big computer do i! I was thinking of getting a laptop and hooking it up to broadband but i want to walk round the house with it - can you do this while it is connected to the net (i heard something about wireless router).

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Yes - I can do this at home. Look for a wireless ADSL router (presuming you have ADSL), and a laptop with a wireless network card built-in. Works a treat.
