Anyone know anything bout the Acer Aspire 1500?
Here
I'm looking to replace my current notebook with the Aspire 1501 which has a 1400x1050 res screen. I currently run a 2 display configuration, the resolution of my 2nd display is 1024x768.
However, the tech specs for this unit quotes;
Does this mean that the resolution of the inbuilt display will have to be reduced to 1280x1024 if I want to run a 2nd display (which will look ****e), or is this restriction placed merely due to memory constraints of the graphics card, meaning that 1400x1050 with a 2nd display of 1024x786 would be possible (this addresses less memory than the quoted config)?
I have posted this question to Acer tech support both in the UK and the States with zero response

Simultaneous LCD and CRT display with 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution, 16.7 million colours, 75 MHz

Being a big style Ferrari fan I eyed the Ferrari laptop, but woz a bit concerned bout the looks I'd get if I got it out in public - it's very 'bright'
Many fanx
