11g wireless vs 11b
Is g "just" faster? Any increase in range with G?
Also is it backwards compatible with B cards and can I run G and B on the same wireless network?
I'm thinking of getting a g setup, but my Tivo has a B card in it which is fine, and I wouldn't want to upgrade the Tivo, just want to make it will still work and won't drag the whole network down to b speeds!
cheers,
Greg

IMO .11b isn't worth considering anymore.
yes, .11g is backwards compatible. Distance is similar. The current range of .11g products handle .11b well. A mixed .11b & .11g environment is fine.
For increased distance, you would need Super G, however your .11b cards wouldn't benefit therefore its not worth considering unless your whole environment is super g only.
