Wink Just Finished Halo. WoW. What Next?

Had nearly given up on console games. Thought it was me. The excitement of tearing the cellophane of the case was starting to get as good as it got. It was all downhill from there.
Bought Halo of Ebay. Good God. Best £12 I've spent ever. That whole staying up until 2'clock in the morning vibe returned. Creeping to bed so the missus couldn't hear because she wouldn't understand that you had too, just had too finish the level before switching it off. Oh and maybe just start the next level too.....Sooo many lovely touches, so many diverse ways of completing the missions, great graphics, death and destruction, bla bla bla ...Fantastic!

But all good things come to an end. I've finished it. Bugger. Don't have broadband. Bigger bugger.

:Sigh:

What to do? More specifically what to buy? I know Halo 2 is a few months.
What will keep me entertained until then?
I'm in withdrawal. Help?

On PC I have Far Cry and Painkiller on Pre-Order. Played both demos and was gobsmacked by both.

Thumbs up

Just finished playing Halo myself, agree a great game although I hear that the sequal wont be out now until around August this year.

What next? well play it again, but this time get a mate or in my case, my son, and play it two player co-operative. Its really good fun.

Yup, play it again on a harder level, it does get a real challenge and you have to think a bit more and be a bit less gung ho, great fun though.

Alternately

PGR2
Rainbow 6
Links 2004

All excellent must have one more go titles

LoL! Well actually guys I have played the middle two levels and have started on legendary. :gulp:
It comes across very quickly that the tactics used on previous levels need to be completely reviewed! It's not impossible by any means, but one things for sure, if you expose yourself to the enemy for too long, you're dead. You've got to stay hidden and take pot shots. Also you've got to think more carefully about weapon selection. IMO anyway. Might do it, don't know.

James Bond : Everything Or Nothing

absolutely great game. I tend to get bored with most games and dont bother playing them again after a few days, but like Halo that i just had to complete, james bond is another. So much effort and detail has been put into that game. Uses the real voices of the actors and looks great to. 10/10 from me!

I've just gone back to Halo after hours of CMR4 and now doing it on Legondary, I'm now on the icey bits where you have to cross that bridge... Too right you need different tactics, weapon preservation seems rather essential too
Can't wait for Halo 2...

You know, there was an X-Box game reviewed in the Sunday before lasts Observer.
For the life of me I can't remember it's title but the reviewer claimed it was a title that got overlooked over Christmas and was now available for £19.95. Meant to be a 'cutesy' kind of title but the more you played the more depth appeared. Something about electric zapping robots.....Really mad I threw away the suplement.
I would have bought it based on the review.

atm we're at 'the final run' & somehow need to get up the point high up in the mountains but wheres that Banshee

also confused, can you only save the game at the beginning of each level? i thought it was saved at each checkpoint? Oh well, the big battle here we come again... (for the hundredth time )

No you have to save the game at the checkpoint if you want to switch off the machine and go zzzz. Only whilst ingame will you return to the last checkpoint not after you've switched it off..

that only applies to single player not multiplayer i think as it gives you the option of save & exit, it doesnt seem to on multiplayer
