Hello

The "internet" proper in about 1994 with Compuserve, but as above I was using dial-up boards from about 1984 with my zippy 300/300 or 1200/75 modem.

Steve.

About 1988, on the good old Amiga 500.

Ahhhhhh, brings back fond memories of my long lost youth!

2002! bit behind the times I know. However, I have total freedom of internet access at work, so did not see that much point in having at home, then mum and dad decided they wanted to learn to email, so we got a computer and net access.

1993 via a dialin to a university SunSparc. Command line only though!

Anyone remember before the WWW took off? There was FTP sites listed in the back of PC magazines, it was the only way to find them! Then Gopher came along and revolutionised file finding!

I remember viewing some of the first web sites through the first version of NSCA Mosaic!

Compuserve used to be little more than a BBS system, until they started offering internet email addresses. You had to memorise a ridiculously long number as your email address e.g. 23674,34973@compuserve.com

94 I think with demon and good old dos KAQ9, early enough that I was on their core 158.152 address range anyway . Long time before that with my bbc 'b' and a nightingale modem, dialling into prestel and one of the bbs' up in manchester mostly....
