Broadband Advice Please
I’m looking at changing from dial up internet to broadband. I’m not a big user; I just need the phone free (the other half is giving me hard time). Tiscali’s 150 kbps would have been ideal. However, I can’t get it as I’m too far away from the exchange.
Can anyone recommend a similar service please? I don’t really want to pay much more than £20 a month.
Thanks in advance
Tony

If your not near an exchange then your not going to get any BT line based broadband.
e.g. AOL, BTCONNECT, TISCALI etc.
You might get NTL or Telewest - or use giointernet fixed price ISDN 19.99 a month

Plusnet
We have just dumped BT Broadband after having so much hassle with them - slow connection, no end of email problems, need I go on! Then they upgrade us to BTyahoo & it all goes **** up
So after spending 47 minutes on the phone only to be told tuff there is nothing you can do to get rid of BTYahoo services (the web mail part that kept hiding our emails in the bulk folder even though the spam filtering was turned off) still to be told thats a minor problem and there is no way to stop it
So I thought **** you, you can stuff your £29.99 where the sun don't shine and swapped over to Plusnet £21.99 and you get a far better deal than bt were offering for more money!!
And looking on ADSLGuide web site they came out top of the 5 service providers that we compaired Wahooooooo so I signed up on the spot
After Huxley Chicks research as well
Look at what you get
And they do a slightly cut down version for £18.99
