Web Page Help!!!!!!!!Need to set up a guest book.
Hi Guys,
Can anyone help, my neice has set up a home page about her fav band that she follows near where she lives, she would like to put a guest book on it but she is not sure how too, can anyone help.

setting up a guestbook is a piece of cake provided you have the ability to run either CGI scripts or PHP scripts.
Do you have this ability? does your ISP allow this.
If not then your a stuffed if yes then we can progress a we bit further.

get her to create a php file in wordpad and add the following text
<?php
phpinfo();
phpinfo(INFO_MODULES);
?>
then save it as test.php and upload it to her webserver.
make it executable
then from a web browser call the test.php script.
if it comes back as a bank page the hit refresh
hopefully it will come back with shed loads of info
it if comes back with nothing then the server is not php enabled and you are basically stuffed.
