an ISO is an 'Image' of a disc, most of mine are MSDN images that I have downloaded from Microsoft, I just fire up Nero, and tell it to Burn Image. A few minutes later job done!

MSDN - Microsoft Developers Netword
RAR - Compressed Files requires WinRAR to open and de-compress them
BIN - for CD-Burning this will be accompanied by a .cue file as well
ISO - CD Image.

In Nero 6 Just go to Tools -> Burn Image and point it at the image that you wish to record.

If Nero gives you no joy then try Alcohol120%, I could never get Nero to work with my old doggy CD writer when trying to burn images.
