CALLING COMPUTER WHIZZ, Somebody help me Im really fecked off!!!!

While my computer tries to boot (xp). It displays a blue screen saying my computer needs a disk check( Im sure you've all seen it before. I can bypass this by pressing any key and it continues to boot. Now if I leave it and let it carry on with its check at 62%, it comes out with this - \WINDOW\DUMPE14 IS CROSS-LINKED ON ALLOCATION UNIT 237831 and then crashes.

I have run all the error/virus checks in the world and nothing.
I feel like im up S**T creek without a paddle it's really annoying

What is it??
Can it be fix??
If so, How do I fix it??

Any info Grateful.

Cheers Albert

Talking

Let it boot into XP and then
start menu
run
cmd

a black window will appear

enter chkdsk /f and press return

This will check the disk and should fix the error.

Dave.

The type of file is fat32
Cannot lock current drive.
Chkdsk/f cannot run because it is use by another volume. would you like to run next time you boot up y/n.

When I click y it restart and goes back to the blue screen in my first post!!!

Proper Fecked!!!!!!!

Any other ideas..... Adam

Its waht computer techs call the blue screen of death. Youre basically fecked. Youre gonna have to format your hardrive and start from scratch. hope you made a backup.
