Question

Ok here is the problem:

PS2 is downstairs and PC and the router is upstairs

The ADSL socket is where the PS2 is and then cable going upstairs into the router

now where can I get long long long enough cable between the router and PS2 (or PC and router)?

The longest I've found is 3m and I will need something like 15m

thanks for any suggestions

If you move the router downstairs to the where the ADSL socket and PS2 are, then you could just make one up with some Cat5 and a couple of RJ45's ? I've got some cable and crimp tools but no RJ45's left

think the socket is on the PS2 network adaptor which fits to the rear of the PS2, plenty of info on www.playstation.com

PS2 needs a crossover cable too if you're going straight into an ethernet modem or network card on a PC.If you're going into a routers built in hub then a standard RJ45 cable will suffice.....

Good luck
