I don't think you can capture them directly as .vob files as these are DVD format.
You can capture as .avi or .mpg and then use Nero to burn a DVD from them though (which will do all the complicated conversion to .vob).
It can get very complicated and there are usually umpteen different ways to do things.
HTH.

Capture Sky as mpeg2
Use a 3rd party app (Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 is a good 'un) to convert the mpeg to DVD format, splitting the mpegs into chapters etc also.

Thanks guys, but i'm sure I heard of a prog that will convert incoming files to VOB, I'll keep looking and if I find it I'll let you know..and yes .. it is to burn to DVD.. ie full series of something , with chapter selection etc
BTW.. which program do you suggest to capure as MPEG ?
any more ideas ??
Geezer. You can either use an S-video out socket from either the tv or connect directly to the Sky+ box and hard wire it to your pc, or the way I do it is use a wireless transmitter from the TV setup and a reciever plugged into my graphics card.
