Are there any updates that detect cds over 700mb?

its v6, oct03.Im using a 90min/800mb cd. So when doing a vcd a file can be 800mb or 90mins long? my vid in question is 801mb 81min. so perhaps ive still got 10mins of space available

You can only get about 60min onto a standard 700Mb disk in VCD format, so I don't think you are going to get the full file on one 800Mb disc.
Don't forget that Nero has to convert the movie file into MPG and then wrap it in the VCD directory structure, which both take up space.
If the file you are looking at is an AVI / DivX, then when converted to MPG for the VCD, it will get larger.
You are probably going to have to split the original file using something like TMPGENC.
Try looking at www.dvdrhelp.com. It may help.
