Mole,
Do you mean add to a CD after its been burnt?, if you do then no you can't, the CD is "finalised" when its completed, it writes the TOC (table of content) so that the player can read the tracks and content when you put the disc in. AFAIK this can't be modified.
If you mean add track by track when you're making the disc then yes Nero and most other can add track by track.
Hope this makes sence, and that I'm not talking bo11ocks
John
ps) hows things?, ya dad still adding more trick bits to the mota

yet to try it on RWs, you probably can, just dont finalise the cd. you can using Adaptec, make sure youve got the right version depending on the OS your using but thats another long story...
you can use "Direct cd" & this uses the windows explorer way of drag & drop to add more tracks to the cd

Mega, yeh I want to add to a CD-RW everytime I d/l a new choon.
I knew that what you said was the case with CD-Rs but I thought that it could be done somehow on CD-RWs.
All made sense Thanks.
He's not done anything since we last saw you I don't think.
Just had a big service!
InvisibleMan - Thanks, I'll give Adaptec try.
Mega, if the CD player supports CD-RWs then you can but not in "normal" players. The changer in our new car supports them and thats why I want to know if I can add to them
Cheers, Mole!

yeah your right mega, its a bit complicated with Adaptec as there are a number of ways you can do it. Now using Nero cos of Adaptec/win2k weirdness. you can also add tracks to a cdrs after it has been written to once by creating it as a multisession cd, just tell it to leave the disc open after each session. The disc can only then be used on a machine that recognises the adaptec formatting. Once the disc is full then it needs to be finalised so it can be read on conventional cd players.

Dont use the Adaptec software, IMHO its over engineered and cr@p compared to Nero !!
Nero will do anything you want, you can add tracks to a CD-RW (or a CD-R) as long as you dont finalise the CD. But you cant play the CD on standard audio CD players without finalising it (i think). If you are feeling particularly adventurous then also try Padus Discjuggler.
