Anyone got BT aDSL?

Couple of quick questions:
1. How much are you paying?
2. What sort of bandwidth are you getting?
3. What sort of hardware do I need for my laptop to get up and running?
Cheers!

Yup
1. How much are you paying?
28 quid a month (You still have to pay for your normal phone line though)
2. What sort of bandwidth are you getting?
512k, typical download speed is about 60kb/s. Upload speed is half this though (mine never faulters)
3. What sort of hardware do I need for my laptop to get up and running?
Nufin, it comes with a free USB modem, which plugs straight in.
Though I'm actually using a wireless ADSL router.
Cheers!
You're welcome
BTW, get it, you wont be disappointed

I've got a Netgear DG824M, from Immac I think (Not too sure, got it through work, that way I lose the VAT and the dreaded 40% income tax ) I think it woz a little more than 100 notes
Definately a good buy, It has a built in ADSL modem (which a lot of them don't have), firewall, 4 port switch and the 802.11b wireless.
If you're planning on using it for file transfers with another PC then think about an 802.11g standard, as this will communicate at 54mbs whereas the 802.11b is only 11mbs (plenty fast enough for internet use though)
