Installed Firebird but decided I didn't like it. Now I want to make IE6 my default browser again but can't get it to work.
I've tried ticking Internet Options > Programs > Internet Explorer Should Check If It The Default Browser . . . but it doesn't ask me when I start IE
Now when I click URL's in Outlook etc it doesn't do anything.
HELP !

I like Firebird too - but it doesn't work too well with Scoobynet
I keep getting posts below the normal 'end of page' New Topic/Reply buttons and the 'Hop to' drop down. Either the first post or first two posts from the top end up at the bottom as well
Anyone else with that problem?

firebird - hmm I wish I could love it and get rid of IE .. but as usual for this product range it sucks.. slower than IE when you have decent connection, plugins don't work, java flips out and it doesn't work with complex sites..
ah well

Presumably this changes something in the registry. Do you know where?

What's the consensus on Opera and Avant. Tried Firebird... jury's out

Nicks VR4 - Thanks for that superbly accurate suggestion
MartinM - Yep, exactly the same problem as I was having with it, have given up with Firebird now. Shame because its got some nice features.
ChrisB - Thanks, gave that a go but to no avail
