Help with Digital TV

Please Help
I have just installed a set top box to our TV and am amazed at the improvement in quality of the picture..But..Previously I had a set up so that anything I put on the videorecorder would be shown on the TV's in the bedroom and Kitchen. After connecting the set top box I now no longer have any pictures at all on the other two TV's.
I've spent all afternoon fitting the set top box (I had to return the first cos I discovered it was defective after which it only took a couple of minutes to sort) and have now lost the will to tinker to sort it out.
It is a Thompson box with two Scart connections
ALL HELP WOULD BE EXTREMELY WELL RECEIVED!
Thanks in advance

Did you plug in the tv's for other two rooms from what your saying (anything played on vcr shows on all tv's) i'm asuming you have either an pf booster box with additional outputs or a scart equivelent,
If it's the rf one it should go satelite/cable box rf -> vcr rf in -> vcr rf out -> signal booster which outputs to all tv's

Si,
Thanks very much for your reply.
I seem to have loads of wires everywhere but someone put in the system so I'm not even sure what I've got.
Apologies for being a halfwit but is there a ladybird version
I've tried trial and error and failed miserably....

okay what type of wires have you got normal RF ones like the aerial to tv type, or scart box about 3 inches by 3/4 inch with 21 pins iirc
what equipment is there
VCR
Digital TV box (i'm asuming this is the aerial one for extra channels)
TV
anything else like a box with 1 aerial input and 3 outputs
