Outlook does all that, I use it to tell me to de everything cos I got a memory like a gold fish

Need something to remind me re birthdays etc,etc.
Prefer not email based(recieve too much junk)..rather something that pops up on my pc sort of thing.
Anyone recommend anything,or is there anything in office 2000.
