Another update needed for IE
http://www.microsoft.com/security/se...s/ms03-040.asp
A number of security issues have been identified in Microsoft® Internet Explorer that could allow an attacker to compromise a Microsoft Windows®-based system and then take a variety of actions. For example, an attacker could run programs on your computer when you are viewing a Web page. This vulnerability affects all computers that have Internet Explorer installed. (You do not have to be using Internet Explorer as your Web browser to be affected by this issue.) You should help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft.
Products Affected by This Update
Internet Explorer 5.01
Internet Explorer 5.5
Internet Explorer 6.0
Note Windows and Internet Explorer share components. You should apply this update if you have Internet Explorer 5.01 or later. Earlier versions are not supported and may or may not be affected. Users with earlier versions are strongly encouraged to upgrade.

Don't you just love MicrosoftSpeak
Why don't they say "an attacker can totally take over your computer, impersonate you, copy any file of piece of data from your computer, make your computer a SPAM server, download kiddie-**** to your computer so that you get arrested, monitor every keystroke and password that you type and just generally make life pretty bad"?????
When is somebody going to sue Mr. Gates big-time???

Firebird works well, blocks popups, blocks undesirable cookies, and is generally wonderful. plus it's open source, and free...
more info here
I've given up on IE. It's bloated, has more holes than a colander and is just generally ****e.

Is anyone making a special effort to roll out this patch?
I've been debating whether or not to go for a special push, and so far have been falling down on the side of rolling this up into our usual patch deployment.
