dont bother with the software trick its a bit crap.
get a xecuter 2 lite plus non solder, bit fiddly but easy as pie to fit and u dont need to alter your box permanetly as u just screw it in in an existin hole

I have heard tales of PSx and PS2 games that work on the X box??
Is this true or boll**??
If it is true, whats required to play them(which chip),
can they be "backups"or do they have to be original?
do they play exactly like on their own consoles,PS2 etc or is it not as good ?
cheers

Do any of you guys with the solderless chips have any issues with needing to realign the chip at all?
Most people seem to recommend the soldered ones as they say the solderless are prone to movement and you need to keep opening the XBox up to fiddle with it to get it aligned properly again.
Would prefer a solderless one myself, intrigued to know stability.

yeah if u tend to move ya box around a bit u may need to re allign it sometimes, ive had to re align once.
on the ps and ps2 front, it can play playstation games with an emulator but u need to rip them to the hard disk to play them as it wont read the disks correctly, ps2 will not work at all

Depends if you can solder, or know someone who can. If so, great, get the X-ecutor 2.2 Pro
Edit: If not, get the 2.2 Lite Plus

X ecucutor 2.2 pro had the 2 previously but did a mate and gave him the 2 as no dip switches for him to play with , 2.2 pro that i've seen recently haven't had bios pre installed so check with where you get it form first.
Also if you do go for a 2.2 pro put the switch bit somewhere sensible it has a VERY bright blue led which if at the front can be very in your face.
Si

It will be flashed with the Cromwell bios from the shop. You can flash the chip with any bios you like after that. Eject-Fix or no Eject-Fix, change the X-Logo colour, Lose the flubber animation & lots more

ScoobyWon't, do it yourself its dead easy! Just take your time and it will work fine. You know when you solder the wires if its good or not so redo them if they are gash. Mine fired up first time no problems at all.
I fitted a 2.1 Lite btw
