Has anyone chipped there xbox ? details please......
:D :D :D :D |
Lots of people in here have chipped their X-Boxes inc me :D
I've got the Matrix solderless chip, 120Gb Seagate HDD, Lots of Emulators, X-Box Media Player plus loads more :D ;) |
Hello
Isn't there a "non-chip" way of doing all the stuff you can do with a chip? Steve. |
There is. Originally known as "Bert is cheating on Ernie", now known as the Pheonix Bios Loader. A bit too fiddly for my liking, but does the trick.
|
D J Dunk YHM !!!
is there a problem with your email, cant seem to send one to that address ? [Edited by rayman_2 - 9/23/2003 12:11:49 PM] |
dont bother with the software trick its a bit crap.
get a xecuter 2 lite plus non solder, bit fiddly but easy as pie to fit and u dont need to alter your box permanetly as u just screw it in in an existin hole |
rayman - Should be working fine. Will take a look a bit later
|
does the executer require to be flashed with the bios ?
:D :D :D :D |
nope xecuter 2 is preflashed and also has dvd eject trick built in so when u press eject it doesnt reset
av a look on here www.baldbouncer.co.uk |
I have heard tales of PSx and PS2 games that work on the X box??
Is this true or boll**?? If it is true, whats required to play them(which chip), can they be "backups"or do they have to be original? do they play exactly like on their own consoles,PS2 etc or is it not as good ? cheers Dunc PS2 V4 +Neo 4;)=180 Games:D:D:D |
Do any of you guys with the solderless chips have any issues with needing to realign the chip at all?
Most people seem to recommend the soldered ones as they say the solderless are prone to movement and you need to keep opening the XBox up to fiddle with it to get it aligned properly again. Would prefer a solderless one myself, intrigued to know stability. |
yeah if u tend to move ya box around a bit u may need to re allign it sometimes, ive had to re align once.
on the ps and ps2 front, it can play playstation games with an emulator but u need to rip them to the hard disk to play them as it wont read the disks correctly, ps2 will not work at all |
Mine moves ever so slightly sometimes, when I've been carryng it around. No need to open it up . . . a swift 'tap' on the top of the case always fixes it :D
|
yeah give it a slap on the side normally does the job
|
what chip is the best to go for ?
xodus/matrix apple messiah executer 2 |
Depends if you can solder, or know someone who can. If so, great, get the X-ecutor 2.2 Pro :)
Edit: If not, get the 2.2 Lite Plus :) Edit again: http://www.baldbouncer.co.uk :D [Edited by DJ Dunk - 9/23/2003 5:24:58 PM] |
the xecuter 2 lite plus is the non solder one, xecuter 2 lite is stil solder
|
;)
|
Thanks Hobo
thats the info i needed.I thought it maybe a little bit of bull**** that Ps2 games work. My mate recond that his mate just puts the Ps2 disk in and it works:D:D cheers. Dunc |
X ecucutor 2.2 pro had the 2 previously but did a mate and gave him the 2 as no dip switches for him to play with :D, 2.2 pro that i've seen recently haven't had bios pre installed so check with where you get it form first.
Also if you do go for a 2.2 pro put the switch bit somewhere sensible it has a VERY bright blue led which if at the front can be very in your face. Si |
next time u see him call him a liar n kick him in the nuts :D
|
but yeah if u can solder get the pro
i would have but a) didnt want to permantly change any of the hardware and b) i dont have a soldering irn and couldnt be arsed forkin out for one :D |
hobo jobo does the pro version provide all the same eject patch etc.. as the others and is it easy to flash ?
:D just seen the site excellent info [Edited by rayman_2 - 9/23/2003 10:25:20 PM] |
i think all the xecuters on baldbouncer are pre flashed with the latest bios version
|
i love my chipped xbox
finding the time to play with it is tricky but i fitted in a few holes of the new tiger woods 2k4 yesterday awesome game!! |
It will be flashed with the Cromwell bios from the shop. You can flash the chip with any bios you like after that. Eject-Fix or no Eject-Fix, change the X-Logo colour, Lose the flubber animation & lots more :)
|
i'll start using bald bouncer for my chips then :D
|
the guy who runs the site seems pretty sound, he posts on the world xbox forum and seems to help people with any problems
|
DJ Dunk - do you fancy fitting my chip? It's sat on my desk for a month. I'm often in Kent. Willing to pay cash for it to be fitted. :)
|
ScoobyWon't, do it yourself its dead easy! Just take your time and it will work fine. You know when you solder the wires if its good or not so redo them if they are gash. Mine fired up first time no problems at all.
I fitted a 2.1 Lite btw |
