just fitted a executor 2.2 pro to my xbox when it starts up it goes to a blue X and says executor below the X but then goes to normal xbox dash.
What do i need to do now

im after evolution x dashboard thought it done automatically but see i have to make a boot disk of it.

Have you copied the Evo-X dashboard to your HDD? Do you have the original HDD or have you fitted a new one?

where did you buy the 2.2 pro chip from and how did you install it. Im buying a xbox this weekend.

visit somewhere like xbox-scene they have good guides on how to do this, I done it an i new nothing about the XBox beofre I started last week and now I can go in and change stuff.

If you are following a guide it will tell you to rename the original dashboard to msdashboard.xbe but you can leave it as default.xbe as the new bios searches for other dashboards first, if you do rename the original dashbord file when you turn off the chip and try to run box as standard ie for XBox live you will get a lovel XBox need servicing error.

Thanks for the help its all up and running installing bigger hard drive next week.I bought executer 2.2 pro from www.baldbouncer.co.uk £40 with next day delivery worth spending the time to solder it in just dont have a skinfull the night before!

yes i just paid £33 for my Xecuter 2.2 lite, little difference between it and the pro, once the chip is in do I have to do anything else to the X-box??

Im soooo Ive had an xbox since day one but what is executer 2.2?

The chip allows you to play 'backup copies' of your games that you have copied just in case you bugger them up.
Play DVDs and lots more but dont know them off the top of my head.
I think you can copied games to ya HD.

Have a look in the options section and make sure the boot with MS dashboard option is switched off ??
