Anyone have any idea why i can't open hyperlinks

It only seems to be links that open in a new window (i can't even right click and select open in new window!) Nothing hapens... i tried closing all Internet Explorer windows and even restarted the explorer process but to no success!

Of course i also rebooted (MS solution) but that still hasn't fixed it... W2K with SP3 btw.

Any ideas guys?

i had this a few months back. click on links would bring up a new blank window. i was able to cut and paste the new url in to the main window and it would come up ok. annoying , i know, but i searched MS Knowlwdge Base and tried a few things. i eventually just backed up my files on my other HD and reformmated C: and reinstalled Winblows XP. solved my problem but may a bit drastic on your part.

cheers

May sound stupid but have you got a pop up blocker? AOL 8 comes with this as standard.

Is this a recent problem? Could be the blaster worm @ work.
