Got a new pc with xp and running windows media player, but had a box of software with Quicktime dis, etc. I've loaded it in but everything seems to default to quicktime.

I really want to use windows, any ideas as to default it to back?

Thanks Nath

In WMP go to Tools/Options/File Types.

Do select all and apply (I think).

Other alternative is to open a windows explorer window ( not internet explorer ) ( hold down the little window button next to the space bar and press E ) from the top choose Tools / folder options / file types. Scroll to the file type you want to open with Media player ( e.g. MPG ), select it and then choose open with and choose Media player.
