Unhappy

Trying to open up word on a win98 pc.

Get noavailable memory.

ctrl alt del colse everthing down still the same.

Turn computer off for 30mins.

Start it up again close everthing down except explorer.
Try to open word (not a document of word).

Then get this program has performed an illegal opeation.

Computer starts buzzing nothing on screen will click. Wont tun off using the power button. Has to be unplugged from the wall.

Bloody think was rebuilt a year ago. Do this sound like a windows fault or a hardware fault.

I am guessing its a windows fault and will probably need re bloody installing.

Are there any quick fixes to this?
Why are pooters so crap?

Try searching for then deleting normal.dot. If that doesn't fix it try going to Add/Remove programs in Control Panel, select the Microsoft Office/Word entry and when the installer starts, select "Repair"
