graphic editors & batch process?

Ok, I've been playing about with photoshop & paintshop, and they don't seem to have a batch process function that can resize images to a certain % of the original
Having one would save a hell of a lot of time, so is there another package that has this funciton? or a patch for either of the above?

Hardly a patch - just standard Photoshop facility...
Open an image
Actions palette - New Action
Give it a name, press Record
Do the resize required
Actions palette - Stop Recording
File|Automate|Batch
Select action created
Choose input and output destinations.. and other self-explanatory options (well, almost)
Press OK
Sit back and enjoy....
