Question

Hi All

Ive read so many threads on the PS2 v X-box and I like the idea of on line gaming on X-box and the price £129 but with a anklebitter only 10 weeks away im not likely to be gaming to the extent which i was and also with 25 PS2 games 10 of which I play regularly and 5 ive only bought recently im loathed to change to another system and lose all those games for peanuts, do i go for another ps2 2nd hand and wait 2 yrs 5 months for the PS3.

Someone convince me what to do

Cheers
Dave

It powers up ok but when I press the eject button and the blue light just flashes and draw wont open, previous to this it stopped taking PS1,CD's, RS2 CD-Rom games, only worked with DVD format ps2 games and DVD films, so at £60 just to look at it I would probably be looking at over £100 to get it fixed, so it doesnt seem worth it.

Not reading discs is down to a faulty lens, it needs replacing, a known problem on PS2's especially the ealy models...

These guys know there stuff, I work for a game developer and we use them to fix all our Devkits etc etc... May be worth a phone call... !!

Sony will provide an exchange reconditioned unit for £60 inc delivery. My sisters died and the new one arrived 2 days later.

The delivery guy collected the broken PS2 at the same time, great service and a good deal IMO.

Could you expand on how you get a recon for £60 that would be ideal.

Ok, £45 if it includes a controller and all leads, so long as the Brucie impressions stop ! Thats what they go for on ebay.

That'd keep you in prawn sandwiches for weeks

buy a new one from Argos, keep the receipt, take the old one back the next day and say... this looks like it has been used. I want a refund.

Sorted
