PS2 lightgun with widescreen TV
#1
Hi there,
I'm trying to get a game to work on my PS2. I've been lent Point Blank 3 (a PS1 game) and although it loads up OK, I can't get the lightgun to calibrate properly when I'm using my widescreen TV. I've got a Panasonic 100Hz widescreen TV and one of the original G-Con 45 games (that I got with Time Crisis for the PS1).
When I try and calibrate, the target moves across the screen but when it gets to the edge of where a 4:3 TV set finishes, it reappears on the other side of the screen. This means I can't calibrate and it makes the game totally unplayable.
Has anyone had any luck with one of these guns on a widescreen TV or am I going to have to shell out for a G-Con 2? Also I've been very impressed with the G-con and guess the G-con2 is just as good, but are there any decent alternatives out there.
thanks peeps
Joolz

I've had a dig around the web and it appears the Gcon guns may not be compatible with 100Hx, but there is a rather decent looking Scorpion 3 gun that supports 100Hz.

Has anyone got one of these or any other light gun that works with a PS2 on a 100Hz TV?
