Doesn't display anything? Or just misses the RAM count?

Does it carry on booting afterwards?

Normally the memory count only occurs on a power on or a hard reset.

E.g. on mine it only appears on power up or when u use the reset button on the front to restart it. It never shows using a normal windows restart.

if it beeps a few times (can remember how many) and then just sits there on a black screen, try removing the ram and reseating it!!
or try another slot/ another ram stick etc.

process of elimination.
if that dont cure it, you may have to go down the bios reflash route, failing that could be a Motherboard fault.

just have to try a few things...

good luck
