Question

Dear all,

Having just taken the DSL plunge from HH, I'm currently borrowing a modem from a mate but I need a DSL router/WIFI unit. But I want an all in one box with the DSL modem, 4 port switch and WIFI access point + the usual NAT / DHCP and firewall.

The only one I've found is the DLink 604+ are there any other what would people recommend.

Is the Dlink one including an ADSL modem? I made the mistake before of getting one that didn't include the modem, so you needed to get an ADSL modem and plug it into the router!

cheers,

greg

Cool

I've got a Netgear FM114P Wireless Router/print server it is dead easy to configure, out the box will take you about 10 mins to get working. It has 4 RJ45 lan sockets and some stupid amount of Wireless connections, the software that comes with it is pretty good and includes a firewall, DHCP Server, NAT etc. Firmware is upgradeable by file which you download from netgear website. Print server is easy to set up and also got my wireless laptop working with the printer connected to it. Wireless link is 11mbit and you can have upto 128bit encryption. Oh and it cost €225 here in Germany, no idea about in the UK.
